Contengo is the Content Management System that manages this site
I wanted something that would be simple for anyone to be able to use and maintain. It needed to be powerful but not over complicated. Contengo grew out of various websites I'd been working on. Firstly samespirit had a basic server side include system which grew, then I developed a mini database driven set up for the St Luke's site which consisted of 2 asp pages - one to view content and then one to edit it. The admin section was then built up to allow multiple users and plugins for different uses on different sites. Then when I set up the website for the Diocese of Uruguay, Contengo became multi-lingual.
I'm currently working on the latest release of Contengo - version 7, which I'm re-architecting from the ground up whilst maintaining the familiar interface and function.
