I'm a Christian living in Portsmouth, Hampshire with my lovely wife Laura and our beautiful daughter Abigail.
I'm currently working at IBM Hursley as an Application Developer working on internal tools to support the people on site. I've worked at IBM since coming to Portsmouth to study Computer Science at University their sponsored degree.
From August 2003 we took a year out to work alongside the church in Salto, Uruguay.
My interests include design, cooking, bible study, programming, photography, travel and languages.
I first became interested in doing some sort of Christian work in Latin America when Tony & Roz Hanson came to visit St. Luke's to talk about the work they'd been doing in Argentina.
In January 2002 I met Laura, who was studying Latin American studies and had spent a year working in Ecuador before University. We got on really well, fell in love and in September that year we got married - planning to spend the following year doing Christian work together somewhere in Latin America. We then applied to SAMS, and they found us a placement in Salto, Uruguay where we worked alongside the Anglican Church mainly with young people.
I've always had a bit of a creative streak and I like to get involved in various types of design or creativity, which has so far included graphics, posters, flyers, websites, theatre lighting, software, painting and card making (Cooking probably should be here too!). You can see some examples of these in my portfolio, which will hopefully expand as I get more of them online!
