Serbia 2012

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

6 Years ago a team went to Camp Timok in Serbia where they laid the foundations for one of the buildings for our mission partner Branko Tihojevic.

Last year after a presentation by Blythswood we now have an opportunity to return to Camp Timok in April 2012 to assist further in Brankos vision, it is not known at this stage what is required of us specifically but we do know that our continued support both physically and spiritually is needed.

If you feel that the Lord may be calling you to serve and this is one of the ways you are able to then we would ask that you review the following. If you are able to answer yes and are willing to serve please confirm with either Mark Wallace or Mark Benford.

There are only a limited number of places available and we are trusting that God will raise the right People for whatever the tasks may be.

The Serbia Team

• The cost for this mission trip is estimated to be £350; this would cover flights, food, PPE and unique Serbia Mission shirts. (note: this does not cover accommodation which may be either camping (free) or staying at a local farm(small charge), details to be resolved)
• The monies would need to be paid in full by December 2011 to ensure that we retain the cheaper flight prices; payment in 2012 increases the cost considerably.
• Travel Insurance would need to be covered on an individual basis and we would insist that everyone travelling is able to and secures appropriate insurance to include work cover.
• We have initially scheduled 10 days in April 2012 which means 8 days of your precious holiday.
• We do not require you to be a “master builder” we only ask that you have the heart to serve one.
• There will be regular prayer meetings set up for the team (probably on a 2 week basis) and all members would be required to attend.
• We ask that you prayerfully consider this and fully commit to this real opportunity to serve the Lord in Serbia.

The Home Team

• For those people unable to take a physical role in this mission trip we would give the biggest role, We are looking for prayer partners or teams that would support our trip from afar with prayer leading up to and whilst we are away.
