And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen. Phil 4:19
One of the advantages of running a limited company is limited liability. You’re only liable for the amount you put into the business – whereas a sole trader can be taken to the cleaners. The sole trader’s business goes down the pan and so does everything they own, house, car, gold clubs etc.
Limited liability means that we can separate our personal endeavour from our business endeavour and if everything goes pear-shaped, then we can walk away only losing what we’ve already invested. Very sensible. Very prudent.
Very unlike God.
His promise to you is that everything you need (note the every in everything) will be supplied – and the line of credit against which that promise is secured is his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. He stakes his eternal reputation on the completeness of his provision for you.
Because of his promise, you are rich. He doesn’t promise to cover your new X-Box 360 or Corvette (although he might) but he does promise to cover all your needs.
Do you have fears and worries about how you’ll cope tomorrow, next week or next year? Concerned about the future? Why not write out this verse and stick it in your wallet? Or write it somewhere where you’ll see it when you get up?
Know for certain that God’s glory will be shown in the way that he provides for your every need. One day all your current worries, fears and felt poverty will seem a distant dream, while God’s glorious riches will be more real, tangible and overwhelming than anything you can now imagine.
