Post archive for ‘Abi’
Abi & her family
Abi’s drawing of herself and her daddy that she did in his birthday card. A pic of mummy and her baby sister (in mummy’s arms on the far right) I love the way children draw legs and arms attached to the head! She also draws smiles so big they’re detached from the head. It’s so [...]
Story time
Abi loves her books, especially the stories about Jesus. This evening Ricky was standing with his foot on the rung of a chair so his upper leg was horizontal and Abi reached up to it saying “I need to climb the tree so I can see Jesus!” She then swung from his leg whilst telling [...]
A is for…
Ricky: I’m thinking of an animal beginning with ‘a’ what is it? Abi: A cat!!!
It's da trute, its actuwall, everyting is satisfactuwall
This morning I was feeling run-down, low, just wanted to hibernate. Then Abi spends the whole journey back from Wambats singing “Zippadee Doodah” at the top of her voice and it just lifted me for the rest of the day! Maybe I need Ricky to get her to sing it to wake me up every [...]
Trained!
Not quite sure how it happened, I think Abi just decided she’s had enough of this pull up nonsense and decided to go for it. So she’s now been dry for almost 2 weeks (apart from at night), including while she was ill which I thought was quite something. The travel potty has proved to [...]
Get back to work
This morning I went through to the front room to see what my baby was up to. I was greeted with: “No mummy, go back on the computer, get back to work!” I love how she thinks me playing Word Twist is work.

Potty training continued (Does it ever end??)
Friday was a brilliant day, only a couple of little accidents and many successes. I even dared to take her out without her nappy/pullups on and stopped for a cup of tea in the Christian bookshop (mainly because it had started to pour down and clever mummy hadn’t brought a coat or raincover as it [...]
The Potty Training Rollercoaster (and other news…)
Potty training has been very up and down this week. The weekend was difficult because we were out and about quite a bit, although she did develop a fascination with Katrina’s toilet and asked to go every couple of minutes, and then when I went in to wash my hands, said to everyone: “Mummy’s doing [...]
Breakthrough
Ricky woke me up this morning with the news that Abi did a little wee in her pants then held it and ran to the potty and did the rest in it! Then, as he was telling me this Abi started shouting for him and when he appeared shouted “WANT POTTY”, then she sat on [...]
