We're both really excited that we're expecting a baby who is due on October 6th!

News from the last few months!

It's been a while since we updated the news on here, but I decided that it was about time that we put something different up! So our news for the past few months:

Laura Graduated - Congratulations!!!: In July Laura graduated from Portsmouth University with a BA in Latin American Studies. There are photos available in her flickr account for friends and family.
We're planning to move house: We decided that it would be good to live a bit nearer to where Ricky works, as at the moment it's a commute of up to an hour each way, so we've started looking at houses in Chandlers Ford, and our flat in Southsea is on the market if anyone is interested in it!
We've been to Norway, Greece and New Wine: We had a bit of a hectic break this year, but it was good - started off at New Wine in Shepton Mallett and helped man the SAMS stand there, then we headed off to Norway for Lucy and Kenneth's wedding, which was really nice and lots of fun too. Then after that we spent a week in Greece with Laura's family relaxing.
We're researching our family tree: We've recently got back in to tracing our family tree, and it's available online for you to see (only family allowed so far). I think there's about 550 people on there at the moment, but it's ~~gradually~~rapidly growing

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Hope you've all had a good Christmas! We spent Christmas up in Nottingham with Ricky's family which was fun - Linda and Dave were over from Canada too, so it was good to see them and Laura met Dave for the first time! We then travelled back down to Portsmouth early Boxing day morning and Ricky led the service at St Lukes - it was really nice travelling down early in the morning with there not being much traffic about. Then we had a couple of days to ourselves before Ricky started back at work on Wednesday, but he wasn't back for long cos on Thursday we headed down to Devon to spend New Year with Laura's family. We stopped off at her Granny's house on the way, and saw Catherine, Roy, Cerys, Guy and Richard, and then we headed on down to Sticklepath. We weren't expecting to see Richard and Greg for New Year, but after a bit of communication difficulties, they both came down too - so we had a nice evening with the whole family together! Hope you have a good 2005!

Settling back in

We're now back in England, well actually we've been back for quite a while now! We arrived back at the start of July, and spent some time visiting family before spending a few days up at the [SAMS] House party in Keswick. At the start of August we moved back into our flat in Southsea, and Ricky started back to work at IBM on the 6th August. Since then we've been getting back into 'normal' life back here, finding it amazing how much fresh fruit and veg there is to choose from in the supermarket, well not just fruit and veg - everything! Laura starts back at Uni in October, so she's got lots to do!
